RAK FTZ delegation to visit Jordan

A delegation from UAE’s Ras Al Khaimah Free Trade Zone (RAK FTZ) will visit Jordan to present investment opportunities by the zone to Jordanian businessmen, next month.

The visit will take place from October 11 to 15, and the delegation will be led by Sheikh Ahmad Bin Saqr Al Qasimi, RAK FTZ chairman, who will be joined by Ramy Jallad, acting CEO of RAK FTZ.

The officials will participate in a series of high-level meetings and seminars with key companies, industry associations and the chambers of commerce, said a statement.
 
Over the four-day event, they will present the investment opportunities and business solutions provided by RAK FTZ, it added.

There will be seminars organised under the auspices of the Embassy of the UAE in Amman and the Ministry of Industry and Trade and Supply at the Four Seasons Hotel Amman during the visit.

Jallad said: “All Jordanian companies and investors interested in expanding their businesses abroad are invited to join the seminars in order to know more about the advantages of establishing a business in the UAE offered by RAK FTZ.”

“RAK FTZ is the cost-effective gateway to global emerging markets of the Middle East, Africa, Europe and Southeast Asia. It is one of the fastest-growing free zones in the UAE and the chosen business hub for more than 8,000 companies from over 100 countries around the world, which represent more than 50 sectors,” he added.

Jallad pointed out that trade between the UAE and Jordan recently totalled Dh3 billion ($816.82 billion), and RAK FTZ plays a key role in the development of the economic cooperation between the two countries, said the statement.

RAK FTZ is currently home to more than 250 Jordanian companies, and it aims to attract more Jordanian investments by providing a business-friendly environment that facilitates growth and success, it added. – TradeArabia News Service
