Gram, its dal up on retailers demand

NEW DELHI: Gram and its dal prices rose Rs 50 per quintal in an otherwise steady wholesale pulses market today on the back of pickup in retailers' demand.
However, other pulses moved in a narrow range in limited deals and settled around previous levels.
Traders said, apart from rising demand from retailers, restricted supplies from producing regions, mainly kept gram and its dal prices higher.
In the national capital, gram, gramdal local and best quality rose by Rs 50 each to Rs 4,800-5,650, Rs 5,250-5,450 and Rs 5,350-5,650 per quintal, respectively.
