Ashley Yeoman's longest run-out for Truro has been 30 minutes in his debut against Bishop's Stortford

Torquay United manager Paul Cox says he could recall Ashley Yeoman from his loan spell at Truro City if the striker does not play more games.

Yeoman, 23, joined City on a month's loan in August, but has yet to start a match and has played just two minutes of football in the last four games.

"I'm monitoring that situation," Cox told BBC Sport.

"If it's not beneficial to the football club and to Ash, then he might as well come back to ourselves."

Yeoman graduated through Torquay's youth ranks and has scored eight goals in his career at Plainmoor, but has never been able to establish himself as a first-team regular.

"I feel for Ash because the main reason he went out there is to make sure he's 100% fit for when he comes back to us," added Cox.

"Our players that go out on loan, they have to play, it's the same scenario as when other clubs take players on loan, the whole basis is you're going to give them games and get them match time."
