Kawasaki aims to invest Rs 15 crore in India business

Kawasaki aims to achieve a market share of 20 per cent by the end of this fiscal
Hyderabad: Betting big on the superbike market in India, Kawasaki India Motors plans to invest Rs 15 crore to ramp up operations here, a senior company official said on Wednesday.
Speaking to the reporters on the sidelines of launch of Kawasaki showroom here, Kawasaki deputy MD Shigeto Nishikawa said, “We have planned to invest an average of Rs 10 crore to 15 crore in Indian operations every year and this investment pattern will continue further.”
Among other plans, Kawasaki aims to achieve a market share of 20 per cent by the end of this fiscal from the current 10 per market share in the 1,000 cc segment. It aims to achieve a turnover of Rs 90 crore from the Rs 30 crore last fiscal and has also planned to launch two new models in 2015 and five models in the next fiscal.
