Macfrut, Pad. B1 - Stand 195-196

Italy: PND in Rimini with innovations in fresh-cut fruit

PND, the leading company in the production of machinery for fruit processing, will take part in the Rimini edition of Macfrut.

"We believe that, this way, we will be able to meet a larger number of Italian and foreign operators," explains Virginia Cascella.

In particular, the SS8 cutting machine and the PL1D coring machine for melons and pineapples will be on display.

- Universal coring and cutting machine - Mod. SS8
"As it is semi-automatic and mechanically operated, SS8 (in the photo) is a universal machine - it can cut apples, pears, oranges, kiwis, baby pineapples, baby melons, tomatoes, aubergines, courgettes, cucumbers, cauliflowers, etc. They can be cut into slices, wedges, sticks and rings of various sizes."

Just like the other pieces of machinery, this one too is made entirely of stainless steel, so it is easy to maintain and clean.

"It cuts very well and does not take up a lot of space. In addition, the machine is sturdy, the electrical board in built in compliance with EEC/IP 65 regulations and it can also be equipped with self-locking wheels."

- Peeling and coring machine - Mod. PL1 D
"The semi-automatic single heat PL1D machine was designed for the peeling of melons and pineapples and for the coring of pineapples according to the specific needs of each client."

The machine is manually fed and peels fruit from the outside, so even ungraded and irregular fruit can be processed with no problem.

"The structure is made entirely of stainless steel and all components are easily interchangeable. The parts that come into contact with fruit are all made of food-approved materials. The electrical board (built in accordance with EEC/IP 65 regulations) is complete with two inverters to adjust speed and the blade."

PL1D has been designed in compliance with Directive 2006/42 on machinery as amended and it enables the regulation of the thickness of the peel and fruit diameter. Processing speed and fruit rotation can be adjusted with an inverter.

"PND will be in Pavillion B1, Stand 195-196. Administrator Vincenzo Di Prisco, sales manager Valerio De Caro and technical office manager Alessandro Cascone will be there to present the machinery."
