THE BRITISH High Commissioner to India, Sir James Bevan, along with his team visited the hospital and met the British nationals who were seriously injured following the derailment of the Kalka-Shimla toy train on Saturday.
The Himachal Pradesh police recorded statements of some of the British nationals who got injured in the accident.
The High Commissioner, while talking to the media during a press conference, said that he met all the passengers who got injured in the train accident and felt satisfied that all were treated well.

He said that the condition of three who were still admitted to Max hospital in Mohali was said to be stable.
“Most of the passengers want to continue their trip and they are in high spirits. We share our grief with the families of two female passengers who died in the accident,” said the High Commissioner.
The High Commissioner said that they would make quick arrangements for the passengers who want to go back to the UK. The post-mortem of the bodies would be conducted on Monday following which they would be flown to the UK, added the High Commissioner.
The British High Commissioner also said that he had formed a committee under Deputy High Commissioner David Lelliot to keep a close watch on the condition of the injured passengers who were still admitted to the hospital.
The Senior Divisional Commercial Manager of the Indian Railways, Parveena Gaud Trivedi, said that they had extended every help to the passengers who were injured and an inquiry into how the accident occurred would be conducted.
Around 16 passengers left for Shimla by road.
