However, for Ertiga one needs to wait till the end of 2017 or beginning of 2018.

So what new these new versions would bring? Well, the present 1.3 litre diesel engine of Swift and Dzire will have anupgraded engine and that would be Suzuki’s 1.5 litre diesel engine (codenamed E15A), apart from the revamping the get up of the car. Also, the existing 1.3 litre diesel engine will get an affordable mild-hybrid technology coined SHVS - Smart Hybrid Vehicle by Suzuki. In lines with the development, the compact MPV Ertiga gets new 1.4 litre petrol engine (K14C) and the 1.5-litre diesel engine.

A strategy adapted by many Original Equipments Manufacturers across the world, Maruti Suzuki plans to make the three car models share most of the parts.
