Puneeth is my close friend: Amala Paul

South Indian actress Amala Paul was in Mysuru recently to walk the ramp for the first time in the city of palaces. “This is my second visit to the city. My first trip was for an ad shoot at the palace. It was beautiful. My husband, AL Vijay, knows a lot more about the Heritage City, as he shot nearly 60% of his Tamil film Madrasapattinam here. He was thrilled when I told him that I would be in the city.I have not had time to go sightseeing in Mysuru, but I will make up for it on my next trip here,” says Amala. The actress, who is a popular face in Malayalam, Tamil and Telugu cinema, is yet to open her account in Sandalwood. But that day may not be far off. “There are a few films that I have lined up in Sandalwood, which will be officially announced soon,” she says. But does she have any pals in the Kannada film industry? “I have known Puneeth Rajkumar for a while. He is a close friend,” she signs off.
