Ayan Mukherji's superhero flick with Ranbir and Alia titled Dragon

Indian cinema is waking up to the genre of superheroes. First it was Hrithik Roshan playing Krrish, the flying powerful superhero who got his powers from an alien. Now, we hear that Wake Up Sid director Ayan Mukherji is set to direct Ranbir Kapoor and Alia Bhatt in a film which has been titled Dragon.

If you have not already guessed, Dragon will be played by Ranbir and he will wield the power of fire. According to reports the filmmaker has already planned two sequels to the movie.

The film has been in the pipeline for a while now. In July, speaking to Hindustan Times, Ranbir had said "Ayan is thinking big, but for that he really has to concentrate on the writing part. Right now, he needs at least a year more for writing. I have always believed that Ayan is a genius writer. There's no pressure on him to start the film; when he is ready, we will jump into it."

The film is likely to go on floors by February 2016 after the release of Tamasha and once Ranbir completes the schedule for Jagga Jasoos. Ranbir has also started on Karan Johar's next directorial Ae Dil Hai Mushkil with Anushka Sharma and Aishwarya Rai Bachchan. The film's crew is currently in London to shoot for the film which is scheduled to release next year.

Alia too is currently busy shooting for Kapoor and Sons Since 1921 with rumoured boyfriend Sidharth Malhotra, Pakistani actor Fawad Khan and Rishi Kapoor.
