Comedy Nights Bachao: Mika Singh and Sohail Khan seen as first celebrity guests, Bharti Singh's antics makes this show an entertaining watch!

The premiere episode of the comedy series was aired tonight. Read on to know all the highlights!

After the controversial roasting epiosode with Karan Johar, Arjun Kapoor, Ranveer Singh and the All India Bakchod(AIB) team, I was taken aback when I heard about Comedy Nights Bachao. I was't sure on how the audiece would react to it. But after having watched it, I can say that this show will be a hit.The format of the show is based on the concept of roasting where celebrities walk in each week and get roasted by comedians like Bharti Singh, Krushna Abhishek etc. The TV show also has TV stars like Anita Hassanandani, Karan Wahi, Pooja Banerjee and others. The show is based on the concept of roasting, where each week, a celebrity would walk in and sit on the red chair, all ready to be roasted. They will be slammed by top comedians like Bharti Singh, Krushna Abhishek etc. The has pairings of a comedian with a popular TV star such as Anita Hassanandani, Karan Wahi, Shruti Seth, Pooja Banerjee etc. The show has the celebrity guest being made a victim of some hilarious and borderline nasty jokes, based on their real life incidents as well as the work they have done on-screen, similar to the lines of what we all saw in the AIB roast. What's hot

The concept of the show is refresghing and television truly needed a show like Comedy Nights Bachao, to bring in some laughter. Today's episode saw Mika Singh and Sohail Khan making an entry and being roasted in every sense. Comedians didn't let go off any opportunity to take a dig at Mika and his Rakhi Sawant controversy and ragged Sohail about his series of flop films like Jai Ho, Hello Brother and many more (Because there are many) I found myself laughing on most of the jokes that were put out there and found the entire format pretty interesting. The stars of the show were Bharti and Krushna in my opinion. The two kept the laughter coming with their hilarious puns and were simply fab!

What's not

The part I was let down by was the lack of consistency in the performances put forth by some participants. Where all the comedians like Bharti and Krushna were bang on with their jokes, their star partners didn't do much apart from supporting them and adding a glamour quitient to the show. Anita, Pooja and Karan weren't given the best lines and could have done much more apart from simply laughing or playing their assigned parts. Though some jokes left me in splits, I still felt the comedians were playing safe and weren't going alll out with their ragging extravaganza. Going overbaord can be tricky yes, but I would like it if the participants go an extra mile and bring in more humour with their one liners.

What to do

Nothing is perfect so it's a given that the minus points can't be held against the show. Comedy Nights Bachao should definitely be given a chance, owing to its refreshig concept, format and rib ticking humour. Though the show aims at making celebrities scream 'bachao' at the end, you guys certainly won't as this show is an entertaining watch!
