Aishwarya, Rani, Shilpa... 37 age to be mum for Bollywood actresses?

While women in other professions other than the glamour world tend to marry and get offsprings earlier, but 37 seems to be the age for actresses to turn mother for the first time in Bollywood.

RANI MUKERJI

A case in point being Rani Mukerji who is set to turn mother in the month of January when she is 37 years old. Rani joins a list of other actresses who have seen motherhood in the third decade of their life. Rani and Aditya Chopra got married in January 2014 in a quiet wedding at Italy and then used the social media to announce their wedding.

Rani is now taking a break from all things sundry.

AISHWARYA RAI BACHCHAN

Abhishek Bachchan and Aishwarya Rai Bachchan got married in 2007. Ash took four more years to turn mother when she gave birth to the beautiful Aaradhya.  Incidentally Ash was 33 when she got married and 37 when she gave birth to the little one.

Ash makes a comeback to films with 'Jazbaa'.
 
SHILPA SHETTY


Shilpa Shetty is known more for her entrepreneurial skills in Bollywood much more than her histrionic caliber. Shilpa Shetty got married to Raj Kundra in the year 2009 after a short romance and she became a mother in the year 2012. And when she turned mom, she was 37.

Shilpa is balancing her life properly between her business and her baby.
 
MADHURI DIXIT

After a successful career in the movies, dancing diva Madhuri Dixit wedded Dr Shriram nene in 1999. Madhuri was 33 years old at that time and when she conceived four years later and gave birth to her first son, she was 37 years old. Her second son was born when she was 39!

Madhuri is an entrepreneur now and also reads scripts on and off apart from doing TV.

KAJOL DEVGN

Kajol was another actress who risked her career when she was at her peak and got married when she was just 25 years old after a long standing romance with Ajay Devgn. When she was  29, she gave birth to her first child Nysa. And then in 2010 Kajol gave birth to her second born Yug and then she was 37.

Kajol will soon be seen in 'Dilwale'.

LARA DUTTA

Ex Miss Universe Lara Dutta is one who perhaps beats the record. After a quick romance with Tennis player Mahesh Bhupathi she married him and gave birth in 2012 when she was 34 years old. That was certainly three years faster than most actresses.

Lara will soon be seen in 'Singh is Bliing'.
