Victoria Beckham has welcomed a "new baby" to the family - a gorgeous dog called Olive.

The designer revealed the new addition to the Beckham family on Instagram today, captioning the adorable picture: "Meet Olive Beckham x our new baby x ❤️ x vb"

Olive joins the Beckhams already large brood of dogs which includes bulldogs Coco and Scarlet and Shari-pei Barnaby.

The 40 year-old fashion designer was beaten to the big reveal though, as 16 year-old Instagram addict Brookyln already posted a picture of the super-cute pooch earlier this week.

He posted a picture of the fluffy pup in the arms of his father David and wrote alongside it: "A new member to the family olive."

The arrival of Olive might be as a conciliation for Victoria's other babies growing up.

This week her second eldest son Romeo turned 13 and the designer admitted she couldn't believe her children were so old. She wrote in an Instagram post about her sons: "Happy 13th birthday Romeo x My babies are getting so big!!! X vb,"

With four children and now as many dogs, we're guessing the Beckham household is pretty hectic, but we doubt Victoria cares too much as earlier this year she said she liked running round after her large family .

“I like doing those kinds of things,” she told Vogue Magazine. “That’s how our entire weekends are taken up, really.”

“Sometimes when I’m screaming at them to do their homework or clean their teeth, I say ‘Mummy was a pop star once’. ‘Mummy was somewhat cool!’”

However, it doesn't look like they'll be any more Beckham children in the future, speaking in June this year she said that she felt she'd "done her bit" and there would be no more babies on the horizon for her and David.
