Vine: Watch how Lionel Messi made Jerome Boateng look like a "baby in a playpen"

Barcelona's Argentinian forward Lionel Messi (R) shoots to score a goal during the UEFA Champions League football match FC Barcelona vs FC Bayern Muenchen at the Camp Nou

Lionel Messi ended the Messi-Ronaldo debate, beat the greatest keeper on Earth twice and made a World Cup winning defender look like a new-born baby giraffe for his second goal in Barca's 3-0 win tonight.

Barcelona look in pole position to make the final against either Juventus or Real Madrid after Messi's took control of the game in three minutes.

Bayern looked destined for a good result with 78 minutes gone until Messi unleashed a strike from outside the edge of the box and deceive Manuel Neuer by opting to go for the near post.

But it was the second that will live long in the memory - more so for Jerome Boateng than anyone else.

Picking the ball up, Messi went at goal before completely wrong-footing the Bayen Munich defender - so much so he left the German on his backside.

Jamie Carragher described Boateng as looking like a "baby in a playpen" during analysis on Sky Sports.

Liam Brady said that the German international fell "like an oak tree".

Here it is:

Neymar added a third in injury time after messi's assist to all-but-guarantee Barcelona's progress.
