LAHORE: Punjab Chief Minister Shahbaz Sharif has taken strict notice of the news regarding alleged sale of haraam meat and ordered indiscriminate action against the elements involved in the heinous trade. He said that the sale of haraam meat will not be tolerated and the elements involved in the evil business should be behind the bars, as they deserve no leniency. Shahbaz directed departments concerned and institutions to take measures on emergent basis for complete elimination of the nefarious trade of haraam as well as dead animals and said that no one will be allowed to play with human lives only for his lust for money. He stated that the elements selling haraam meat and dead animals to the people deserve no leniency and the Punjab government has made sentences for this crime more stringent. The chief minister said that departments concerned should work in a coordinated manner for checking the trade of dead and haraam meat and indiscriminate action should be taken against the elements involved. He said that the people involved in this evil trade are enemies of humanity and should be brought to justice. He said that he will not leave the people of the province at the mercy of those who play with human lives only for money. He said that trade of substandard and unhygienic meat as well as that of dead and haraam animals will be curbed at any cost. Meanwhile, the Punjab Chief Minister Shahbaz Sharif has expressed sorrow and grief over the death of renowned lawyer Abdul Hafeez Pirzada and the sister of Saudi ruler Salman bin Abdul Aziz In the condolence messages, the chief minister prayed for the departed souls to rest in eternal peace and grant courage and strength to the members of the bereaved families to bear the irreparable loss with fortitude. Separately, the chief minister has taken notice of injury to a two-year-old child due to kite string near Children Park Madni Street, Sangla Hill and sought a report from Nankana Sahib DPO. The chief minister ordered strict implementation of the ban on kite flying and action against the officials involved in dereliction of duty. He directed that best treatment facilities should be provided to the injured child.
