Two others were injured in the incident, which took place at about 2.30 am on Wednesday at a traffic signal under the RTR flyover, said police.

The rear-end of the truck first collided with a car with two occupants, which was coming from the other side, said the officer.

“The rear-end of the speeding truck collided with the Honda-Amaze car. The driver of the truck, to avoid a head-on collision, took a left turn. But the truck lost its balance and drove across the divider. It landed on top of a Swift car, which had come to a halt at the signal moments ago, crushing it,” said the officer.
The car, which was on its way to Gurgaon from South Campus, was crushed in the impact and the engine caught fire, said the officer.

Jadhav had shifted a month ago from Pune to Gurgaon and worked at a private firm, said police, adding that his father was a colonel in the army.
