NBC has ordered a one-hour pilot for a dramedy from Dan FogelmanVariety has learned. The ensemble series will follow a unique group of characters all born on the same day.

“The Neighbors” and “Galavant” creator will serve as writer and exec producer on the project, which landed at the network after a very competitive bidding war.

John Requa and Glenn Ficarra will direct the pilot, while also serving as exec producers with Fogelman, Jess Rosenthal and Charlie Gogolak. The untitled series hails from 20th Century Fox.

The NBC pilot is slated to shoot before the end of this year.

Fogelman is repped by WME, Management 360 and Hansen Jacobsen. Requa & Ficarra are repped by CAA and attorney Jeff Frankel at McKuin Frankel Whitehead.
