Gulshan Devaiah LEAKS the story of Hunterr 2

Hunterr director is working on not one but two plots simultaneously for its much awaited sequel

Harshvardhan Kulkarni, director of the successful adult comedy Hunterr, is a busy man. Riding high on the success of his adult comedy, the director is all set to come back with its sequel. The film will take the lead couple Mandar (Vasu) and Tripti’s (Radhika Apte) story forward. Also Read - Big screens to OTT: Can you guess who are the highest-paid Indian celebs on digital?

Hunterr, which took a genuine but candid take on the sex-addict Vasu’s life, was appreciated by all quarters. It was Kulkarni’s directorial debut and it sure left a mark on masses, thanks to its witty dialogues, stellar performances (especially by the lead pair) and sensitivity shown towards the issue. It would be indeed exciting to see Kulkarni’s fresh take on marriage as Gulshan and Radhika’s characters get married at the end of the first part. Also Read - Aashram 3 actress Esha Gupta and more divas who shed clothes and inhibitions for their roles

Talking to a daily about his character Gulshan said "My character, Mandar, was a terribly insecure man in Part 1, till he found Tripti who accepted him with all his flaws. In the sequel we will not go down the rocky track of the married couple fed up of each other. We saw that already in Tanu Weds Manu Returns."

Gulshan also revealed that almost all ensemble cast from the original film will be retained. He further said that Kulkarni wanted to present adventures of the sex-addict Mandar through mini TV series but he decided against it as there aren’t many online formats like Netflix in the country.

It would be interesting to note that apart from Hunterr sequel, Gulshan is currently filming a dance-drama Cabaret, with Masaan actress Richa Chadha.
