Hrithik Roshan and Katrina Kaif starrer "Bang Bang" turned out to be a blockbuster last year and since then the makers of the film have been mulling a sequel.

While it was expected that Hrithik will reprise the lead role in the next instalment as well, recent reports suggest that Sidharth Malhotra and Jacqueline Fernandez have been roped in instead of Hrithik and Katrina.

Though no confirmation has been made by the makers regarding the cast, it is being said that the honey-eyed actor wasn't approached for the sequel at all.

During "Dheere Dheere Se" song launch that features Hrithik and Sonam Kapoor, the hunk was asked about "Bang Bang" sequel, to which he said: "I don't know why they didn't take me. You should ask them," reported Bollywood Life.

Interestingly, few months back there were rumours that the "Mohenjo Daro" actor will definitely be a part of the sequel, which will be helmed by director Siddharth Anand.

"We are trying to come up with a script that can match the standards of the first part. Though it's early to comment, it looks like the project will go on floors next year. We are not sure if Siddharth Anand will direct the film, but Hrithik is definitely being considered for the sequel. As far as the actress is concerned, we might either sign Katrina or settle for a fresh face. Wait for an official announcement," a source had earlier told Mid-Day.

With the change in the cast, one can't help but wonder if all is well between Hrithik and the makers of "Bang Bang". Is he unhappy with the makers replacing him with Sidharth?
