For its celeb-heavy September issue, Interview magazine has enlisted the photography (read: selfie) skills of social media stars for its eight alternate covers. Requisite seflie-takers including Kim Kardashian and Miley Cyrus made the cut, along with Zayn Malik, Selena Gomez, Jennifer Lopez, Victoria Beckham, Madonna and photographer Mert Alas.
The #ME-themed issue is all about creating your own identity through a strong social media presence — something Cyrus knows a thing or two about. In her cover story, the 22-year-old strips down for a FaceTime session with Alas, in which things got hot, heavy and definitely NSFW.

It appears that Alas was the man of the hour, as he also had a FaceTime session with a pretty much nude Kardashian, who just so happened to be lounging in bed during their, um, conversation. The sultry look is not quite becoming of a possible future first lady, but we digress.
Also spotlighted in the issue are 150 tastemakers and trendsetters, including Marc Jacobs, Snoop Dogg, Zoe Kravitz and everyone in between, each of whom chose their own image to be displayed in the glossy. While selfies abound, some, like J.W. Anderson’s Jonathan Anderson, opted for painted portraits, while others, like Alexander Wang muse Anna Ewers, took the opportunity to express their likeness via emoji-laden pic collages. Welcome to the 21st century, y’all.
