Designer Monisha Jaising unveiled her opulent Riviera collection at the recently concluded Lakme Fashion Week Winter/Festive 2015. The reticent designer showcased in Mumbai after a gap of five years. Supermodel Ujjwala Raut took the ramp by storm by wearing a clear net kaftan gown covered with chikankari motifs hand embroidered with exquisite Swarovski crystals.
Friends and clients spotted watching the show were Nita Ambani, Mehr and Arjun Rampal, Amrita Arora, Bhavana Pandey, Sophie Choudry, Waluscha Robinson, Anu Dewan, Maheep Kapoor, Dolly Sidhwani, Kaykasshan Patel, Madhoo Shah, Lata Patel, Anju Chulani, Ekta Raheja, Shibani Bhojwani, Chhaya Momaya, Dipti Sandesara, Michelle Poonawala, Natasha Narang, Pinky Reddy, Prerna Goel, Seema Khan, Poonam Bhaghat Shroff, Tanaz Doshi, Champa Doshi, Devaunshi Mehta, Bijal Meswani, Steesha and Jivesh Bhojwani and many others.
Says Monisha, “The collection is all about modernising Riviera Fashion, as it existed in the ‘60s and ‘70s and lends a sense of freedom and independence that the modern girl desires.”
