Jasmine Gordon and her boyfriend Clifford Thomas have been found guilty of involuntary manslaughter after killing her three-year-old daughter Jamilla.

When the couple were bound for trial, Judge Shannon Holmes of the 36th District Court subjected them to a tongue lashing, detailing the girl's injuries - all in various stages of healing according to WXYZ Detroit.

Holmes accused the couple of being very good actors, and ended that hearing by saying  "don't even think about bond, I'm not entertaining it. And I wish you all the very best. And I'm really being sarcastic."

After the couple were found guilty of involuntary manslaughter Jamilla's father Dwayne Smith was called into court to testify about the impact of the killing.

Instead his fist had an impact on the back of his daughter's killer's head.

According to news.com.au, “No charges were pursued against those involved as the judge declined to hold Dwayne Smith in contempt of court,” a Wayne County Sheriff’s Office spokeswoman told media.

Gordon was sentenced to 7 to 15 years for involuntary manslaughter and 14-25 years for first-degree child abuse as an aider and abettor, which will be served at the same time.

Thomas meanwhile will serve 6 years to 15 years for involuntary manslaughter and 1 to 2 years for resisting and obstructing a police officer.
