From being considered a bearer of good omen to becoming a style statement amongst the city’s fashionistas... dreamcatchers have evolved with time.
Today, the dreamcatcher’s feather touch has become widely popular in varied forms and ways.
Hair accessories
As a substitute to coloured hair, dreamcatcher extensions, clips and headbands are gaining popularity. You could either go for a single colour or choose a multicoloured one, depending on how far you want to go ahead with the look.
With an extension, wearing your hair open is the safest option, but you could also look at wearing it with a ponytail. As far as headbands are concerned, make it look like a hip tiara and let your hair flow freely.
Earrings
To give a native, ethnic look, opt for cute dreamcatcher earrings. While they look best on plaits and half-tied hair, you could also double them up as hair extensions when you leave your hair open. These earrings look best on long skirts teemed with scarves.
Bracelets and anklets
Bracelets that almost look like a watch make for great conversation starters. The great thing about them is that they can also be worn by boys. When you are wearing one, make sure you don’t wear anything else on your hand. For boys, the look goes well with a cool tee, well-fitting jeans and a sling bag. As far as anklets are concerned, they particularly look good on capris.

Pendants and neck pieces
Long metallic dreamcatcher neck pieces look great when teamed up with tattered denim shorts and a white T-shirt or vest. Busy your wrist with some bracelet charms and you’re ready to rock the look! Additionally, this also goes well on basic shirt dresses and tunics. If you are going for an authentic dreamcatcher neckpiece, wear it on a plain kurta to add the much needed quirk. Add a suitably coloured scarf to make it a seamless part of the look.
- Besides this, dreamcatcher keychains are also available and may be used on sling bags. Alternatively, you can wear it with your belt like a challa.
- If you’re feeling really adventurous, opt for a dreamcatcher tattoo on your nape. With your hair tied in a messy bun, the tattoo will look very eyecatching.
- Go ahead and grab your favourite dreamcatcher accessory to attract the awesome and confuse the boring!
