Two days after the party expelled two of its Punjab MPs over "anti-party activities", dissident AAP MLA Pankaj Pushkar on Monday announced his decision to launch an agitation against the Delhi government over lack of facilities in unauthorised colonies.

Pushkar, who is the Timarpur MLA, said through the 'Satyagraha', starting tomorrow at Sangam Vihar, he wants to remind the ruling party of its promises in this regard. He had earlier written letters to Chief Minister Arvind Kejriwal and his Deputy Manish Sisodia on the "neglect and substandard treatment" to Sangam Vihar Wazirabad unauthorised colony.

"Apart from the letter, he raised this question twice in Delhi assembly and thrice in the district development committee but to no avail," a statement said.

Interestingly it was issued by Swaraj Abhiyan, a group floated by expelled AAP leaders Yogendra Yadav and Prashant Bhushan. Pushkar had openly sided with the rebels and has been an active member of the outfit since its inception.

"After doing everything in his capacity as an MLA, Pankaj Pushkar will be reminding the Kejriwal government of its promises made to the public regarding basic amenities and regularisation of unauthorised colonies. The public at Sangam Vihar Wazirabad are agitated at the neglect and insensitivity towards them," it said.

On August 29, AAP suspended its Punjab MPs -- Dharamvira Gandhi and Harinder Singh Khalsa -- for anti-party activities and alleged that they had joined hands with ruling BJP-SAD combine in the state. Gandhi, who had also supported Yadav and Bhushan, has been partaking in almost every movement of Swaraj Abhiyan.
