Walk held to highlight Strathpeffer to Dingwall path

More than 60 people took part in a walk held to raise awareness of a campaign to establish a path between Strathpeffer and Dingwall.
The proposed route follows the line of an abandoned railway, which is overgrown with vegetation and blocked in some places by barbed wire fences.
Those taking part in Saturday's event carried step ladders and old carpets to get themselves over fences safely.
Garden shears were used to clear away weeds and dead branches.
The trek was held as part of the OurLand campaign calling for Scottish land reform.
A feasibility study commissioned by Strathpeffer Community Council identified the need for a path linking Strathpeffer and Dingwall eight years ago.
Campaigners hope Strathpeffer's Victorian railway station, which has been closed since the 1940s, could be renovated as part of the path project.
