Police released the name of a 21-year-old Springfield man who died after being stabbed on a city street Saturday night. David Steven Guasp was the city’s 14th homicide this year and the second on High Street. Police said Guasp was stabbed in the abdomen behind an apartment building around 7 p.m. He was taken to Baystate Medical Center, where he died about an hour later. Police said they are investigating what led to the killing. No one has been arrested.
