Sprawling campus, well constructed building, roundthe-clock water and power supply and with all this, CCTV cameras installed in various corners - this is not any private school but a wellmaintained Delhi government school.

Located in North-West part of Delhi, Sarvodaya Vidyalaya at Sector 8, Rohini, is one of the models for other schools. Built in 1987, this school has seen many students and their bright future. "We follow a different strategy for all our students.

There is a sense of respect in their eyes for all of us. We give our heart and soul to make our students best in the country. People should know that not only private schools but even government schools can provide quality education," Dr Avdesh Kumar Jha, head of school told Mail Today.

Around 2,000 students are studying in this governmentrun school and they have nothing to complain. As one enters this school, one can see a separate parking space for vehicles, an administrative staff sitting at the reception and a display of trophies adorning the walls.

"Our students stand out everywhere. Many toppers are from our school only," added Dr Jha. Even the Director of Education, Padmini Singla, is an alumnus of this school.

Unlike many government schools in the national Capital, the classrooms of the schools are well-decorated. Recently installed CCTV cameras are installed at few corners of the school and the recording directly goes into the room of the head of the school.

"Teachers here are very supportive. We don't feel that this is a government school. We have all the facilities here. The school administration has installed water purifiers in the school," said Ankush, one of the students.

"All the staff members who serve food wear gloves and head masks. We never compromise with the health and hygiene of our students," said Sandeep Bharadwaj, one of the teachers of the school.
