Brewers closer Francisco Rodriguez was claimed on revocable waivers last week, but the Brewers pulled him back, Jon Heyman of CBS Sports reports. As a result, Rodriguez cannot be traded until the season ends.
Rodriguez, 33, has had a great season for the Brewers, getting the save in 30 of 30 opportunities with a 2.01 ERA and a 52/9 K/BB ratio in 44 2/3 innings. The right-hander is earning $3.5 million in the first year of a two-year, $13 million contract signed with the Brewers in February this year.
