Matt Damon’s Bourne 5 set in austerity riddled Europe

Matt Damon has recently revealed that the new edition of the Bourne series will be set in an ‘austerity-riddled Europe’ and a ‘post-Snowden world’. Damon will reprise his role of Jason Bourne in the fifth installment of the franchise, after 2007.

While speaking to a website, Matt said, his new film will take into account world happenings since then. “Without giving too much of it away, it’s Bourne through an austerity-riddled Europe and in a post-Snowden world.It seems like enough has changed.
There are all these kinds of arguments about spying and civil liberties and the nature of democracy. We’re starting in Greece, you know, the beginning of democracy. And the movie ends in Las Vegas,” he added.
