Overall, Samajwadi Party (SP) President Mulayam Singh Yadav may stay away from Swabhiman rally to be held at Patna's Gandhi Maidan on August 30.

This would apparently be the final collapse of Janata the Parivar, which was proposed by Mulayam last year to strengthen the Opposition against the BJP-led NDA.
"Mulayam had met PM Narendra Modi in Delhi on Thursday. Since then, he has been of the view that he should stay away from Patna rally. The reason he is citing is that he shouldn't be there along with Sonia, when he is against the Congress in Parliament on contentious issues. This would be a tactical move of the SP supremo to keep Modi in good humour", said a source close to Mulayam.
