Rutgers opens its football season Sept. 5 at home against Norfolk State. And if the Scarlet Knights return their first kickoff for a touchdown, 100 students in the student section will win $1,000 each. That’s $100,000.

What?

Yes. This is real. The player who potentially scores the touchdown can’t and won’t win any money, but a bunch of students have a chance to win a ton of it if this miraculous play should occur.
