President meets outgoing Egyptian ambassador, stresses intensification of relations
Armenian President Serzh Sargsyan received today Egyptian Ambassador Mohamed Allaaedlin Saad Elleissy who is completing his diplomatic mission in Armenia, the presidential press service said.
The president thanked the ambassador for his efforts aimed at developing Armenian-Egyptian ties and wished him success.
S. Sargsyan noted with satisfaction that during the diplomatic tenure of Mr Elleissy, bilateral interstate relations has intensified, the cooperation agenda has expanded, and meetings took place at the level of presidents and prime ministers of the two countries, which created prerequisites for the further strengthening and deepening of relations.
The president expressed hope that the new ambassador of Egypt will make good use of those prerequisites and diligently carry out his mission for the benefit of the two friendly countries and their peoples.
The ambassador thanked Serzh Sargsyan for his warm words and appreciation and said that over the past 4.5 years he did his best to promote the bilateral relations.
