The video for Kodaline's new single, 'Love Will Set You Free', which was helmed by Friends star Courteney Cox, has landed.

The emotional video depicts the four lads - Steve, Vinny, Mark and Jason - hanging out together with friends, working on music, and performing on stage.

Courteney tweeted a photograph with Irish band Kodaline earlier this week.

The band co-wrote the song with Johnny, of Snow Patrol fame, and Vinny joked that Courteney hounded them to make the video.

The concept was Courteney's idea - she wanted to showcase the guys' personalities, and the lads were happy to let her take the reins, insisting it was probably the easiest video they've ever shot as they felt so at ease.

Not only did she direct the video but Courteney also shot it at her lavish Malibu home and she even makes an appearance, with Johnny and her daughter Coco (11).  The band invited their other halves and friends to join them for some scenes.

Speaking to People magazine, she said, "When Johnny first played me 'Love Will Set You Free', I was blown away.  The song is incredibly beautiful.  After hanging out with the guys and getting to know their personalities, I knew I wanted to direct this video and really showcase who they are as musicians and individuals."

'Love Will Set You Free' is the latest single from the band's successful second album, 'Coming Up For Air'.

Kodaline are also set to play two Irish dates at the INEC Killarney (December 10) and 3Arena Dublin (December 11) - tickets go on sale 9am this morning (Friday August 28).
