Finding Dory is the sequel to Disney's blockbuster movie Finding Nemo Disney

After almost a decade, Pixar finally revealed the first look of Finding Dory, the highly-anticipated sequel of the super-hit animation film Finding Nemo. And comedian Ellen DeGeneres teased that the upcoming film will be an experience beyond the aquatic adventure.

"I think that fish should be in the ocean," the talk show host told Yahoo. "It's what this whole sequel is about: It's about rehabilitation and putting them back in the ocean."

She also stressed that the sequel would deliver a positive message on the importance of maintaining the health of the world's oceans. "We have to protect our oceans. Hopefully that discussion starts with this film, because we really need to protect that environment."

The upcoming movie will be about Dory's adventurous journey in search for her parents in the seas. During her quest, she will come across different, yet interesting characters, who will help her find clues to her identity. However, she will have her share of difficulties as she is extremely forgetful.

"Dory is searching for her parents — she realizes [she] has parents — and comes across some characters who are somewhat helpful," DeGeneres, who plays the titular character told the website.

Finding Dory will premiere in theatres on 17 June 2016. Kaitlin Olsen and Albert Brooks will return to reprise their roles of Destiny and Nemo's father respectively. Ty Burrell, Diane Keaton, Eugene Levy and Idris Elba will also play important characters in the movie.
