Jeev Milkha Singh created a dubious record by five-putting the 379 yard par-4 fourth hole in the opening round of the Czech Masters being held at the Albatross Golf Club in Prague on Thursday.
The Chandigarh pro also dropped four bogeys in a topsy turvy round which saw him end the day at the bottom of the leaderboard with a total of four-over 76.
Jeev, a four-time European Tour champion, was languishing at joint 143rd spot in the 156-strong field.
In contrast, two-time Challenge Tour winner Shiv Kapur fired an eagle on the fourth hole to be one-under 71 to lie tied 56th. Kapur is five strokes behind the leaders -Englishmen
Sam Hutsby and Mathew Fitzpatrick, Swede Pelle Edberg and
Scott Jamieson of Scotland.
SSP Chowrasia, who carded an even-par 72, was sharing the 77th place with compatriot
Gaganjeet Bhullar, who fired three birdies against a double bogey and a bogey in his round.
