Ratu Naiqama’s request

Prime Minister Voreqe Bainimarama is absolutely correct in rejecting Ratu Naiqama’s efforts to seek an audience with him.

I must say that Ratu Naiqama’s reasoning to meet our PM is rather poor and pathetic considering that the iTaukei has everything going for them.

The majority of Fijians voted Voreqe Bainimarama into power and one of the reasons we did so was because of the primitive mindset by many so-called chiefs who think that they are gods and that Fiji belongs to them.

I have iTaukei blood in me and I am a child of the professed God that these chiefs claim to worship.

How different does that make me or my Indo-Fijian and Chinese brothers and sisters from my iTaukei brothers and sisters as children of God who have the same rights?

The land of Fiji is exactly like all other lands throughout the world so what difference does it make to a Fijian living here or there?

I question some SODELPA leaders and supporters about their belief in God and his Word, for most of their actions does not conform with the teachings of Christianity.

Open your eyes and your minds and wake up before it’s too late!

God is watching!

Guts and passion

I have said this once after the last World Cup 2011 and I am predicting it again on the eve of the 2015 World Cup. Without guts and passion this current Fijian team will be like any other past Fijian team, attending to participate but not committing to real competition to raise our level.

They may have all what it takes in as far as experience, exposures and professionalism from our own assessment compared to our local players, but with no guts and passion which should be the motivating factor, will certainly not producing favorable results.

To check the level of passion and guts this current Fiji has, please FRU and the team officials use the current 2015 Skipper Cup champion and Fare-brother  Cup holder, Nadroga to find it out for you.

Organise a mid-week meet or match and analyse the individual players performances during this game.

I am pretty sure Nadroga will never surrender to any team at this very peak moment before the end of the rugby season in Fiji and I am certain the Fiji team would not want to belittle themselves after the PNC competition and before a drill with Tonga and the World Cup.

Competition at this very even field will certainly produce some result we are all anticipating and would love to see, otherwise forget about it ladies and gentlemen.

Standing posture

In the current Parliament session I have noticed a particular Member of Parliament was not able stand upright to deliver his speech to the house.

That member was constantly kneeling forward and made very few eye contacts with the Speaker and other Members as read his speech.

Therefore I believe some training ought to be provided to first-time MP’s on the ethics of speech delivery since they should have been well-versed by now as we are approaching the first anniversary of this Cabinet.

FEA poles

I have noticed that Fiji Electricity Authority poles break on impact by even small vehicles.

I also noticed that they bend slightly when placed horizontally on its two ends.  Could FEA redesign their reinforcement rods inside the poles so they can withstand vehicle impacts.

Faith and law

Brother Lawrence Narayan is confused with the meaning of faith and law in Galatians 3.

Here we have Paul calling Galatians Christians foolish, because they first believed in salvation by faith in Christ, but on his second visit, these Christians were influenced by Judaizers, who convinced them that they were to keep the law to be saved (Gal.3:1-5)

In verse 6, Paul reiterated that Abraham believed God, and it was accounted to him as righteousness and verse 7 continues: Know therefore that they which are of faith, the same are the children of Abraham.

In essence, there is nothing that humanity with a fallen nature can do to save itself, but the good news is that God the Creator provided the means whereby we can be saved.

Our faith does not save us, it is the faith of Jesus, His merits on our behalf that saves. Our faith is the medium that is used to reach out and believe or accept what Christ has done on our behalf to be saved. This is the simplicity of the gospel.

In Roman 7, Paul explains the inner struggles when a person becomes a Christian.

When he did not know the law, life was good, but once he came to know the Ten Commandments, God’s moral law of love, he was condemned to die (v9).
