Actress Sonakshi Sinha has slammed people who have been making insensitive remarks and cracking jokes in connection with the Sheena Bora murder case.

"Sheena Bora" has been trending on Twitter ever since her mother Indrani Mukherjea--wife of former Star India head Peter Mukherjea--was arrested for allegedly murdering her daughter.

Although there has not been much reaction from the Bollywood fraternity on the murder case, Sonakshi took to Twitter to express sadness at the jokes being made on the murder of a girl allegedly by her mother.

"A girl loses her life in the most heinous way...killed by a parent and ppl are making jokes! Its time to really introspect. #SheenaBora (sic)," Sonakshi Sinha tweeted.

Indrani Mukherjea, who had earlier pretended to be Sheena Bora's sister, reportedly confessed in her statement to the police that she was actually the victim's mother. Sheena was reportedly in a relationship with Rahul Mukherjea, who happens to be Sheena's stepbrother.

Several jokes are being cracked on the social media on the complicated relationship between the members of Mukherjea and Bora families, which did not go down well with Sonakshi Sinha.
