Namibia squad named for 2015 rugby World Cup

Saracens flanker Jacques Burger will captain Phil Davies’ team next month

Namibia coach Phil Davies on Thursday named the following 31-man squad for the rugby World Cup in England from September 18th to October 31st.

Saracens flanker Jacques Burger has been selected to captain the side and he is joined by other European-based players in the squad such as Exeter Chiefs fullback Chrysander Botha, number eight PJ van Lill of Dax and outhalf Thenus Kotze (Bourge-en-Bresse).

There are 17 players who will make their World Cup bows next month, as Namibia play New Zealand and Argentina in their pool.

Their campaign kicks off against the All Blacks in London.
