Agnes Hedengard, a well-known model in Sweden, has slammed the fashion industry's body standards in a viral YouTube video.

The 19-year-old uploaded a video to her YouTube account, filming herself in the mirror as she stood in her bikini.

Having worked as a model for five years, and placing third in Sweden's Next Top Model, the young woman is frustrated as clients and agencies tell her that she is "too big".

Angered, she grabs hold of body parts and cries, "they think my butt is too big and they think my hips are too wide"

"According to the model industry, you cannot look like this, you need to be thinner," she laments.

Agnes adds that despite some brands wanting to work with her, they swiftly change their mind once they see her measurements.

At the end of the video, she adds that her body mass index is 17.5 - which technically classifies her as underweight.

By sharing the clip online, she hopes that the industry will begin to re-question its standards.

"It's absurd and I hate it - and I just want other people to see this," she says emotionally.
