Video Shows Drivers Doing Donuts in Middle of New Mexico Highway
Authorities are studying cellphone video of the stunt.
— -- Authorities in New Mexico are studying cellphone video in hopes of identifying as many as 13 suspects involved in a dangerous stunt in the middle of a busy interstate.
Video shows drivers blocking Interstate 25 near Albuquerque Sunday, so other drivers could do donuts in the middle of the highway.
One driver can be seen nearly hitting a concrete barrier.
Matt Barth, who was driving on the highway, recorded video of the stunt.
“Oh, it was chaotic. It was very chaotic,” Barth said.
Detectives believe at least one of the low-riding pickup trucks seen in the video was stolen.
Adding to the danger, police say, was that the driver of one of the trucks hit another car, and later pulled a gun on that driver before speeding off.
