Come have a cuppa with Kathleen

Kathleen Becker lives her life with high energy and passion. Her positivity and energy entangled the e-mails she send sharing her idea of having a Cuppa for Cansa.

Breast cancer survivor stories resonate best when they reflect upon approaches toward the illness, coping strategies, managing work and the needs of family and communicating with a support network. Of particular importance and inspiration are the many ways patients managed to fortify their hearts and minds for the fight.

Kathleen Becker lives her life with high energy and passion. Her positivity and energy entangled the e-mails she send sharing her idea of having a Cuppa for Cansa.
This breast cancer patient is exuberant about the journey wherein so many women shift from fear of cancer to taking back their power and realizing their own strength.

“I decided to host a Cuppa for Cansa because I was diagnosed with breast cancer last year and it had a big impact on my life and my family too,” Kathleen said.

The cancer was aggressive and she had to have a bilateral mastectomy.

“It was so unreal for me and it was a very hard and painful road but I got through it. I had to have radiation and had undergone my last on December 31.”

Kathleen did not walk the road alone; she had the support of the ones who loves her.

“My family and friends supported me through this ordeal and all the praise goes to our Father for bringing me through it. I am in remission and so happy about it. I decided to go to a friend of mine, Emileen Viljoen and ask her to help me to do this project. I have created a project grain gain. The project’s name is ‘God’s angels will survive’ were I am trying to get donations in. My mark point is R3000 hoping to get there”.
