Rahman's mother feeds Sachin biryani

After his morning session with the fast bowling trainees at a pace foundation, Sachin Tendulkar, who was in the city on Friday met the music man of Chennai - AR Rahman. "They both met at Rahman's studio in Kodambakkam and the meeting lasted for an hour. Rahman's mother, Kareema Beegum was also present at the studio. An event felicitating mothers of celebs will be held in Mumbai on August 29.And it was planned that Sachin would award Rahman's mother during the ceremony. But that plan had to be dropped as Rahman's mother won't be able to travel all the way to Mumbai due to health issues. Therefore, when Sachin was here in Chennai, he decided to meet Kareema Beegum and hand over the award. Meanwhile, Rahman will give away the award to Sachin's mother, Rajni Tendulkar, during the award function," said Kumaravel of a beauty salon chain, which is organising the event in Mumbai.
Giving more inside info about the meeting, Kumaravel added, "Both Rahman and Sachin really enjoyed each other's company. In fact, Sachin requested Rahman to play a song from his movie Taal and the music composer happily obliged him. Later, Rahman's mother send specially cooked biryani for Sachin to the hotel where he was staying. And Sachin seemed to have really enjoyed the south Indian biryani."
