Tickets for the Rio 2016 Paralympic Games will go on sale to Brazilian residents on Sept. 7. The launch will mark the one-year countdown to the opening ceremony at the Maracana stadium, according to Rio2016.com. Fans from other countries can apply for tickets via authorised resellers in their regions. “The first phase is the best time, as there will be the greatest availability of tickets,” Xinhua reported quoting Rio 2016 ticketing director Donovan Ferreti. The last batch will be sold at box offices in June. In total, there will be 3.3 million tickets for 23 sports disciplines.IANS
