Man risks his own life to rescue stranded kittens in a canal
A brave man risked his own life to enter hazardous flood waters to rescue a litter of kittens which were trapped.
The shocking video, which was posted to LiveLeak, shows that humanity still does exist and the love that we can possess for our feline friends.
The four-minute video, from an unknown location, begins with the unidentified man climbing precariously down a badly formed ladder into the canal where the flood waters appear to be worsening.
The person filming pans around to show the viewer the surroundings and how dangerous the situation is.
The camera zooms into one kitten which is trapped in the corner of the shot.
The heroic man carefully makes his way to the half drowned kitten, holding onto the wall, and then picks up the cat which would certainly have died if it had not been rescued.
One of the locals then passes a shopping bag down to the man on a rope so he can pop the kitten inside it and they pull it up to safety.
The little black kitten can be seen shaking but safe as the man returns to try and save the next kitten.
The man can be seen continuing to wade through the canal as he spots another little kitten in need of rescue and he plucks it to safety.
Again one of the onlookers throws down the shopping bag again to assist in the rescue.
The rescuer then climbs up the rickety ladder to get back to safety and the cameraman gives the viewer a close up of the hero.
