NIZAMABAD:Collector Yogitha Rana said that Nizamabad district will be made open defecation-free district by September 30. She said that self-help groups and officials should work hard to complete the Individual Household Latrine (IHHL) programme.
The collector said at a programme in Nizamabad that government will provide Rs 12,000 financial aid for the construction of latrines, if beneficiaries paid Rs 900 as contribution.
Ms Yogitha said that women should take initiative with their family members for construction of latrines. Open defecation leads to so many problems and in terms of health and self-respect construction latrine is must for women, she said.
