Joe Perry Gushes About Getting To Work With Paul McCartney

Aerosmith 01192010

Aerosmith guitarist Joe Perry is one of many superstars to feature on Alice Cooper's upcoming covers project Hollywood Vampires, and he says, despite his decades of experience, working on the album was an "ego leveler."

Perry helped out on a rendition of the 1970 Badfinger hit "Come and Get It," which also featured an appearance by Paul McCartney.

"We were really grateful to have him come in and cut the track," Perry told ABC. "I mean, for all of us, it was like, 'Holy s***, we're actually doing a session with Paul McCartney. I mean, talk about an ego leveler."

The Hollywood Vampires covers album features hits like the Who's "My Generation," Led Zeppelin's "Whole Lotta Love" and Jimi Hendrix's "Manic Depression." The LP lands September 11.
