“Girlfriends’ Guide to Divorce” and “UnReal” creator Marti Noxon is getting into the restaurant biz for a new series with FoxVariety has learned exclusively.

Titled “Hungry,” the drama, which is in early development at the network, is an hourlong soap set in the down and dirty, cutthroat and exciting restaurant world of New York City. The series centers on a young, aspiring chef who lands the thankless job as a line cook for one of Manhattan’s most famous — and infamous — culinary stars.

Noxon will serve as an exec producer with Meryl Poster (“Girlfriends’ Guide to Divorce”) and Nina Colman, who penned the script.

Noxon — who is on Variety‘s 2015 Showrunners Impact Report — is on a roll with Bravo’s “Girlfriends’ Guide,” which comes back for Season 2 this fall, plus Lifetime’s critically acclaimed “UnReal,” which was also renewed for a sophomore season. Noxon will also serve as an exec producer on CBS medical drama “Code Black,” debuting in September, while still exec producing her other two series.

“Hungry” hails from 20th Century Fox Television, Poster’s Superb Entertainment and Noxon’s Tiny Pyro banner.
