Enterprise firewalls are usually not your everyday topic when you go out with friends. That's why this infographic put together by the IT Central Station staff can really help you make up your mind if you ever have to choose one.

Ranking anything on the Internet is usually a subjective operation unless someone aggregates the opinions of different persons.

This is where IT Central Station comes into play, a website where users can review technology and share their professional opinion with others.

Putting together data from 85,000 reviews gathered during 2014 and the first quarter of 2015, the IT Central Station Top Enterprise Firewall infographic ranks firewalls based on five topics.

These are the total number of page views for each firewall's page, the number of times a firewall has been compared to another similar product, the number of user reviews, the total number of IT Central Station followers, and an average review rating.

Based on user ratings FireEye's firewall service seems to be the best (9.8), followed by Cyberoam UTM (9.2), ptSense (8.8), Cisco ASA (8.8), and SonicWALL TZ (8.6).

Based on the number of total reviews, WatchGuard XTM seems to be the favorite, while for the other three topics (the number of times a firewall has been compared to another, total page views, and total followers) Fortinet's FortiGate firewall service is the favorite.

Aggregating all the data, IT Central Station professionals have declared Fortinet FortiGate as the best enterprise firewall.
