With the Frankfurt Auto Show opening to the public on September 19, car fanatics will finally be able to see the new Mercedes models in person, starting with the new C Class Coupe and its AMG C63 super sporty version, along with the new GLC SUV.

The most eagerly anticipated Mercedes is undoubtedly the new C Class Coupe, envisioned as a direct competitor to the BMW 4 Series or the Audi A5, which should be on the road by December.

The German automaker will also be introducing its souped-up model, outfitted by its high-performance division, AMG. It will be one of the highlights of the show, with its aggressive front end, wider body and, most significantly, the Mercedes-AMG twin-turbocharged 4.0-liter V-8 making 469 horsepower and 479 pound-feet of torque in standard form and 503 horses and 516 lb-ft in the S model. This model should start rolling out in January.

Another new attraction will be the GLC SUV, directly inspired by the C Class. Unveiled in the spring, it succeeds the GLK and should be in showrooms by November for a starting price around $39k. It will also be available as a rechargeable hybrid (GLC350) in addition to the traditional petrol and diesel versions.

Mercedes will also be using the Frankfurt Auto Show to introduce a four-seater S Class Cabriolet, the newest version of its five-meter-long high-end model. Finally, the German constructor will be exhibiting the new and reimagined A Class, which should be available in Europe this fall starting at €23,950.

The 66th Frankfurt Auto Show will take place from Sept. 19 to 27.
