Pedro Alvarez went yard against the San Francisco Giants Sunday, sending PNC Park to their feet and the Pirates to 3.5-games behind the Cardinals in the N.L. Central. It was all very exciting, but no one was more excited than one little Pirates fan who grew a Pedro Alvarez beard, we assume immediately upon contact.

Some of you may claim that beard was painted on and to those people I say: find the love in your heart necessary to believe children can spontaneously grow beards to mimic their baseball heroes.
