India had planned on confronting Pakistan with 5 crucial dossiers laden with proof. The dossiers would have been submitted had the National Security Advisor level talks taken place. However the talks were cancelled after Pakistan told India that it could adhere to the condition that the Kashmir issue would not be discussed.

India had painstakingly prepared the five dossiers and it is not clear how and when the same will be submitted to Pakistan. A senior official told OneIndia that the dossiers will be submitted and would not go waste. The dossiers contain evidence and not allegations, the officer also informed. In all likelihood the dossiers between India and Pakistan may be exchanged at the United Nations next month where both the NSA's are expected to be present.

The five dossiers prepared by India:

India's National Security Advisor, Ajit Doval had held a series of meetings in order to prepare these dossiers. All the dossiers were related to incidents of terrorism. While one dossiers contained the names of 56 persons wanted by India being sheltered by the Pakistan, the other detailed the infiltration along the border. Another dossier which spoke extensively about fake currency being pushed into India by Pakistan was also ready.

A separate dossier on drug trafficking and one more with the details regarding the 26/11 attack were also meant to be submitted to Sartaj Aziz, National Security Advisor of Pakistan. The officer informed that details in the dossier were incriminating evidence of Pakistan's role in orchestrating terrorism in India. There were maps, trial details and hard evidence of conversations between handlers in Paksitan and terrorists.

India was particularly concerned about the increase in the number of drug smuggling. It had stated in the dossier that the ISI was largely involved in pushing drugs from Afghanistan into India via Pakistan. Further the dossiers also detailed how the ISI was staging attacks on Indian interests in Afghanistan.

Pakistan's three dossiers:

Prior to calling off the talks, Aziz had told a press conference in Pakistan that he too has dossiers prepared. Pakistan was all set to come to India with three dossiers and one of them was on the situation in Balochistan. It was stated in this dossier that India is fuelling the war in Balochistan. It also stated that India was running a camp in Rajasthan to train operatives in a bid to wage a war in Balochistan.

The next dossier was entirely on the Samjautha Express blasts. It was stated in this dossier that India is protecting the accused persons in this blast which saw a majority of Pakistanis lose their lives. The decision not to challenge the bail granted to one of the accused, Swami Aseemanand was also part of the same dossier.

The third dossier was focused on the Peshawar and Wagah border attack. Pakistan accuses India of setting up a module in Lahore which was aimed at carrying out strikes in Pakistan. It was the same module which carried out attacks in Peshawar and also on the Wagah Border, the dossier alleges.
